Opportunity:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)


Job Details:

  • 13-week contract with options to extend

  • Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week or three 12-13 hour shifts per week, with weekly availability required; prefer not to rotate weeks on/weeks off

  • Saturday and Sunday availability preferred; one rotating Saturday per month required; no call

  • All time off requests must be made upfront; time off requests exceeding five consecutive days will not be approved during summer months

  • Level 1 trauma center with 33 main OR rooms, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 stand-alone GI center rooms

  • Practice settings include inpatient and outpatient; locations include main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center

  • Patient population ranges from age 13 to end of life

  • Cases will cover all CRNA scopes of practice; cases excluded include open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and performing peripheral nerve blocks

  • EMR system is Epic

  • Hospital bed size is 600

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required; academic background and Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience preferred

  • One year of academic medical center or Level 1 trauma center experience required; experience with ASA 3+ patients preferred

  • Inpatient experience preferred; outpatient-only candidates will be considered

  • Board certification required; Virginia license required

  • ACLS and BLS certifications must be valid and completed through the AHA

  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered

  • Two professional references or reference contact information required with submittal

  • If provider has any affiliation with the facility, this must be disclosed in the presentation

  • Facility:

    This facility is a major academic medical center and Level 1 trauma center serving a broad patient population. It operates a large and comprehensive anesthesia department comprised of approximately 60 CRNAs, 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents. The facility supports a wide range of surgical and procedural services across multiple locations, including a main OR complex, outpatient surgery center, offsite anesthesia locations, and a dedicated GI center.
