We are seeking a Board Certified Hematopathologist for a 26-week locum opportunity in New Brunswick, New Jersey, beginning October 2026. This is a Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM onsite position with no call, providing comprehensive Hematopathology services within a Level I Trauma Center.

Case Volume
- Approximately 5 bone marrow cases per day with associated flow cytometry
- Approximately 2 surgical/FNA cases per day, including lymph node and spleen
- Approximately 20 peripheral blood flow cytometry cases
- Overall daily volume may vary
Clinical Responsibilities
- Interpret and diagnose bone marrow aspirates and biopsies
- Interpret flow cytometry
- Review peripheral blood smears
- Lymph node pathology
- FNA interpretation
- Body fluid interpretation
- Provide intraoperative lymphoma work-up consultations as needed
- Correlate pathology findings with clinical, radiologic, molecular, and laboratory data
- Communicate significant and critical diagnostic findings directly with clinicians
- Participate in consensus reviews as needed
- Present cases at tumor boards
Support Staff
- Work alongside 5 full-time physicians
- Additional support staff available
- No APP supervision required
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certification in Hematopathology required
- Active New Jersey medical license or IMLC required
- Comfortable with bone marrow pathology, flow cytometry, peripheral blood, lymph node, and FNA interpretation
