Internal Medicine - Interventional Cardiology Locum Tenens Opportunity - Hattiesburg, MS Position Overview

RecruitWell is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine - Interventional Cardiology physician for a locum tenens assignment at Merit Health - Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. This is a scheduled clinical hours plus call position covering vacation from September 21-24, 2026. The role involves inpatient care with 2nd call/backup responsibilities in a Level 3 trauma facility.

Call Coverage

2nd call/backup with 30-minute response time requirement and 1:1 call ratio

Administrative Responsibilities

5% hands-on administrative time

Supervision

No supervision required; will not supervise other providers Candidate Requirements

Board Certification

Board certified in Internal Medicine - Interventional Cardiology (certification must be current and on file)

License

Licensed in Mississippi or current IMLC membership (estimated credentialing time: 15 days if IMLC is active)

Fellowship

Fellowship training required

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

EMR System

Experience with Cerner preferred
