Job Duties: Receive claims of child/adult abuse and neglect and/or maintain caseload of those who have been determined to require protective assistance/agency services and/or manage foster care/adoption caseload. Assist with recruiting and licensing foster/adoptive homes. Meet procedural deadlines. Process cases, changes, case notes, and other paperwork. Prepare assigned cases for administrative/judicial procedures. Utilize electronic records/documentation. Timely complete home visits. Testify in court. Serve on-call rotation. Serve on internal/external committees. Present public education programs. Attend training, conferences, meetings. Stay current on program regulations, policies, and procedures. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required: Ability to deal professionally with clients in adverse situations. Attentive to detail, strong organization skills, excellent typing and computer skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to multi-task. Must work cooperatively with others. Must be available for occasional overnight travel. Must meet physical movement demands. Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to independently operate a motor vehicle. Must possess the ability to visit homes with unsanitary conditions, steps, hills, uneven walking paths, and/or pets and make those visits in adverse weather conditions.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in any field and employed for at least two years in a human services related occupation, OR an associate's degree in human services related studies, OR been employed for at least five years in a human service-related occupation. Must obtain a job-related bachelor's degree within 5 years of date of hire.
