Our client is looking for an Electrical CAD Designer to join a collaborative engineering team in Wilmington, NC. This role focuses on designing electrical systems for a mix of commercial, institutional, and public sector building projects. You will work alongside mechanical and plumbing colleagues to produce construction and permit documents, with a good balance of design work and hands-on project support. Electrical Engineer/Designer Responsibilities: - Design power distribution systems, including riser diagrams and panel schedules - Develop low voltage infrastructure for IT and security systems - Create lighting designs, including fixture selection, controls, and lighting calculations - Design fire alarm, security, and controls systems - Calculate electrical loads, fault current, and voltage drop - Produce construction and permit documents for building projects - Conduct field surveys and provide support during construction Electrical Engineer/Designer Requirements: - Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering - 2+ years of electrical building systems design experience - Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office - Knowledge of building codes and standard construction design practices - PE, EIT, or EI certification preferred - Experience with power distribution and low voltage systems preferred By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
