Project Engineer responsible for managing solid waste engineering projects, designing site layouts, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage projects, revenue targets, and profit performance
Design site layout, grading, drainage, and utilities
Handle solid waste engineering design and permitting for landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities
Prepare technical reports, operating plans, and permit applications
Collect and analyze air and water monitoring samples and data
Use AutoCAD for project design
Conduct construction observation and documentation
Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Environmental Engineering
5-8+ years of professional experience in solid waste engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
EIT/P.E. license (preferred)
Strong written and oral communication, including proposal writing
Experience with stormwater analysis (Rational Method, SCS hydrology) and state/municipal projects
Valid driver's license, with willingness to travel and work flexible hours
Preferred Skills:
AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency
EIT/P.E. license
