RVN Inc. is hiring an Electrical Engineer for a full-time opportunity with a global EPC engineering client in Houston, Texas.
We are looking for 6 10 years of electrical engineering experience in an EPC design environment. Power-generation project experience is preferred; relevant industrial EPC experience is welcome.
Responsibilities
Prepare one-line diagrams, electrical load lists, cable and conduit schedules.
Perform load, cable-sizing, voltage-drop, grounding and lighting calculations, and support short-circuit and protective-device coordination studies.
Prepare specifications and datasheets for transformers, switchgear, motor control centers and motors.
Coordinate raceway, grounding, lighting and equipment layouts with designers.
Review vendor documents, resolve technical queries and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
Support procurement packages and construction queries.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
6 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, including hands-on EPC design deliverables.
Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, ANSI and NEMA standards.
Ability to work with one-line diagrams, P&IDs and equipment layouts.
Strong EPC company experience and willingness to work from the stated office are required. Current recruitment eligibility: US citizens, Canadian citizens or US green-card holders. Any employer documentation required for US employment must be clarified before submission.
ETAP/SKM, AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D or SmartPlant Electrical experience and EIT certification are useful.
